The Bihar Assembly Election 2025 has concluded with a historic voter turnout of 66.91%, the highest recorded in the state since the first elections held in 1951. According to the Election Commission of India (ECI), the vote counting will take place on Friday, November 14, with early trends by midday and final results by evening. The Bihar election result will determine whether Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's NDA retains power or if Tejashwi Yadav's INDIA bloc makes a comeback.

Voting Conducted in Two Phases
The Bihar Assembly Election 2025 was conducted in two phases across all 243 constituencies. The first phase took place on November 6, covering 121 constituencies, while the second phase was held on November 11 across 122 constituencies.
According to the Election Commission, the first phase recorded a 65.08% voter turnout, while the second phase saw 68.76%, marking one of the highest participation rates in Bihar's electoral history. Overall, the state recorded a 66.91% turnout that surpasses all previous records since 1951, the year of Bihar's first legislative assembly elections.
Women Voters Outshine Men in Turnout
This time the female voter participation surpassed male turnout for the second consecutive time in Bihar. As per ECI data, female turnout stood at 71.6%, compared to 62.8% for male voters.
Bihar Election 2025 Result Date and Counting Process
The Bihar Election 2025 results will be announced on November 14, 2025, after vote counting begins at 8 AM in all 38 districts. The counting will be conducted under tight security and constant video surveillance.
Initial trends are expected to emerge by midday, with the final results likely available by evening on the Election Commission's official website (eci.gov.in) and the Bihar Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) portal.
Bihar Election 2025 Exit Poll Predictions
According to multiple exit polls, the NDA is projected to win between 130 and 149 seats, comfortably crossing the 122-seat majority in the 243-member Bihar Legislative Assembly. The Mahagathbandhan (INDIA bloc), led by Tejashwi Yadav, is expected to secure 85 to 101 seats.
According to official ECI data, Bihar had 7.45 crore registered electors this year, comprising 3.93 crore male and 3.51 crore female voters. The main reason behind these good numbers is enhanced booth accessibility, improved voter registration drives, awareness campaigns, etc.
