In the Bihar elections, the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) secured the highest vote share at 22.84%, outperforming the BJP and JDU. Despite this, the NDA leads in overall seats. Tejashwi Yadav trails in Raghopur, while voting turnout was notably high.
In the Bihar elections, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) seems poised to maintain its hold on. However, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), despite facing a significant setback since 2010, has managed to secure the highest vote share. Six hours into vote counting, Tejashwi Yadav's party has outperformed both the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's Janata Dal United (JDU) in terms of votes.
The RJD contested 143 seats in the 243-member assembly and achieved a vote share of 22.84 per cent. This is 1.86 per cent more than the BJP and 3.97 per cent more than the JDU. Despite this, the RJD is leading in only 27 seats, marking its second-worst performance in Bihar elections after securing just 22 seats in 2010.

Tejashwi Yadav's Performance
Tejashwi Yadav, who is the chief ministerial candidate for the Opposition Mahagathbandhan, is trailing in his Raghopur constituency. He has garnered 33,347 votes but is behind BJP's Satish Kumar by 2,288 votes. The Mahagathbandhan allies are also lagging, with Congress leading in four seats, CPIM(L) Liberation in four, and CPI in one.
Meanwhile, NDA is leading in 201 seats overall. The BJP is ahead in 91 seats and JDU in 81. Union Minister Chirag Paswan's Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) leads in 21 seats. Additionally, Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi's Hindustani Awam Morcha leads in five seats and Rajya Sabha MP Upendra Kushwaha's Rashtriya Lok Morcha leads in four.
Other Parties' Standings
The Prashant Kishor-led Jan Suraaj Party and Mukesh Sahani's Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) are not leading in any of their contested seats. Bihar witnessed voting across two phases on November 6 and November 11 with a record voter turnout of over 66 per cent since 1951.
The male voter turnout was recorded at 62.8 per cent while female voters showed higher participation at 71.6 percent.
