Residents of Gurgaon can now access Blinkit's new ambulance service, promising a 10-minute response time. Equipped with essential medical tools and staffed by trained personnel, the service aims to provide affordable emergency care and is set to expand to major cities soon.
Residents in Gurgaon can now access ambulance services through Blinkit, with a promise of arrival within 10 minutes. This initiative, announced by Blinkit's CEO Albinder Dhindsa, aims to provide rapid emergency medical assistance. The service is designed to be quick and reliable, ensuring that help reaches those in need promptly.
The ambulances are equipped with essential life-saving tools such as oxygen cylinders, defibrillators, and stretchers. They also carry emergency medicines and injections. Each vehicle has a trained paramedic and an assistant on board, apart from the driver, to ensure comprehensive care during transit.

Affordable Emergency Services
While the cost of this service remains undisclosed, Dhindsa emphasised that profit is not the primary objective. "We will operate this service at an affordable cost for customers and invest in really solving this critical problem for the long term," he stated. The company plans to expand this service to all major cities over the next two years.
This ambulance service marks Blinkit's second new offering within a week. Previously, they introduced a fleet of electric vehicles for handling large orders like electronics and party supplies. These vehicles are currently operational in Delhi and Gurgaon, with plans to extend to other cities soon.
Innovative Solutions for Urban Challenges
"We are taking our first step towards solving the problem of providing quick and reliable ambulance service in our cities," Dhindsa expressed in a detailed post on X. Initially, five ambulances will be operational in Gurugram. As the service expands, users will have the option to book a Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulance via the Blinkit app.
Blinkit's commitment to innovation is evident as they continue to address urban challenges with practical solutions. Their recent initiatives reflect a focus on enhancing convenience and accessibility for their users while maintaining affordability.
This new venture underscores Blinkit's dedication to improving urban living conditions by offering essential services efficiently. As they scale up operations carefully, their approach highlights both caution and ambition in tackling critical issues faced by city dwellers.
