Blue Dart has unveiled a new logistics hub in Bijwasan, Delhi, to boost connectivity in the northern region. This facility, located near the Dwarka Expressway and just 20 minutes from Indira Gandhi International Airport, offers direct access to key transport networks. The hub is part of the Gati Shakti Logistics Corridor, enhancing freight movement and multimodal connectivity.

The Bijwasan hub spans 2.5 lakh square feet and aligns with the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan. It aims to strengthen logistics infrastructure by integrating air and ground transport systems. The facility is designed to support high-volume shipments with advanced cargo handling capabilities.
Focus on Sustainability and Efficiency
Sustainability is a key focus for Blue Dart, as highlighted by DHL Group CEO Tobias Meyer. "Supporting our customers' decarbonisation journey remains crucial as we continue to lead in low-carbon logistics solutions," Meyer stated. The facility underscores a commitment to efficient and sustainable logistics, reflecting investment in India's economic growth.
The logistics hub features solar power installations with a 600-kW capacity, reducing carbon emissions and promoting sustainable energy use. This initiative is part of Blue Dart's broader strategy to lead in low-emission logistics solutions.
Advanced Cargo Handling Capabilities
Equipped for palletised cargo handling, the Bijwasan facility can manage over 5.5 lakh shipments daily, both inbound and outbound. An automated system ensures quick and accurate sorting, minimising manual handling and enhancing resource efficiency to meet changing business needs.
Blue Dart Managing Director Balfour Manuel emphasised the significance of this investment. "The Bijwasan facility is more than an infrastructure investment. It reflects Blue Dart's commitment to sustainability and scalability," Manuel said. As India's largest low-emission integrated logistics hub, it boosts distribution capabilities while ensuring efficient cargo movement.
This development marks a significant step in enhancing logistics infrastructure in India. By integrating advanced technology and sustainable practices, Blue Dart aims to set a benchmark for future logistics solutions in the region.
