Bollywood superstar Madhuri Dixit has rented out her office space in Andheri West for a monthly rental of Rs 3 lakh. The property, leased to a private company, showcases how celebrities are increasingly leveraging their investments in real estate-be it lavish residences or commercial properties-as an additional and lucrative income source.
Madhuri's office space spans a total area of 1,594.24 square feet, situated in Mumbai's bustling Andheri West, a preferred hub for businesses. According to a report by Hindustan Times, which cited documents accessed via Propstack, the rental agreement was officially signed on November 13, 2024.
The deal includes a security deposit of Rs 9 lakh, and while the initial rent is Rs 3 lakh per month for the first year, the contract specifies an increment in the second year, raising the rent to Rs 3.15 lakh per month.

Madhuri Dixit's latest move is a reflection of a larger trend among Bollywood celebrities, who are diversifying their financial portfolios by investing heavily in real estate. Renting out properties, whether commercial or residential, provides celebrities with steady passive income streams while capitalizing on Mumbai's ever-growing real estate market.
Earlier in October 2024, Madhuri also made headlines for acquiring a luxurious flat in Lower Parel, one of Mumbai's most premium neighbourhoods. The sprawling residential property measures an impressive 5,384 square feet and is part of a high-end residential project. The apartment, complete with seven parking spaces, was purchased for Rs 48 crore. The deal saw Madhuri shelling out Rs 2.4 crore as stamp duty alone.
In a similar move, Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor and his wife Mira Kapoor also entered Mumbai's high-value rental market recently. The couple leased out their luxury apartment in Worli, one of Mumbai's most upscale localities, for Rs 20 lakh per month. The rental agreement, registered in November 2024, is a five-year lease spanning 60 months, with the tenant providing an initial security deposit of Rs 1.23 crore.
With Mumbai being India's financial capital, the city's real estate market-spanning commercial spaces, luxury apartments, and premium residential projects-continues to attract celebrities and investors alike. Commercial properties, such as Madhuri Dixit's office space, are particularly attractive due to their ability to yield consistent rental income and the promise of annual rent escalations.
