Britannia Industries has appointed Rakshit Hargave as its new Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director. His role will commence on December 15, 2025. The company's board approved his appointment during a meeting on Wednesday. Hargave will serve as an Additional Whole-Time Director and CEO for a five-year term, pending shareholder approval, according to a regulatory filing by Britannia Industries.

Before joining Britannia, Hargave was the CEO of Birla Opus, the paints division of the Aditya Birla Group. He brings extensive experience in the consumer industry, having worked both in India and internationally. His previous roles include leading operations for Beiersdorf, the German skincare company known for NIVEA, in the ASEAN and ANZ regions.

Hargave's career also includes heading operations in Africa and serving as Managing Director of Nivea India. Prior to his time at Beiersdorf, he held positions at Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) as Sales and Marketing Director, Kimberly Clark Lever, and Lakme Lever as Chief Operating Officer. Additionally, he worked with Jubilant Foodworks, a major quick-service restaurant chain operator.

The board's decision to appoint Hargave reflects confidence in his leadership abilities and extensive industry knowledge. His diverse experience across various sectors is expected to contribute significantly to Britannia's growth and strategic direction.
With a strong background in sales, marketing, and operations management, Hargave is well-positioned to lead Britannia Industries into its next phase of development. His leadership is anticipated to drive innovation and enhance the company's market presence both domestically and internationally.
