BSE Bomb Threat: The Bombay Stock Exchange received a hoax bomb threat earlier in morning which threatened that 4 RDX IED bombs have been placed in the tower building of the BSE and "would explode at 3 pm", reported news agency Asian News International on Tuesday. The email was sent by an email ID named ".
The police have begun the investigation and bomb squat team and police have completed the surveillance of the location. Nothing suspicious was found, reported ANI.

"Bombay Stock Exchange received an email threatening to blow it up. The police were immediately informed. The bomb squad team and police reached the spot. Nothing suspicious was found. The threatening email was received from an email ID named Comrade Pinarayi Vijayan. The email threatened that 4 RDX IED bombs have been placed in the tower building of the Bombay Stock Exchange and would explode at 3 pm," read an X post by ANI.
The police investigation is underway in the matter, and a case has been registered against unidentified person in Mata Ramabai Ambedkar Marg Police Station under sections 351(1)(b), 353(2), 351(3), 351(4) of BNS, and further investigation has been initiated, the news agency added in its report.
Earlier, Amritsar's historically iconic Golden Temple received a hoax bomb threat on Monday. A police complaint was filed against unknown miscreant and an investigation was initiated.
This is not the first time when a fake bomb threat has created ruckus inside the BSE building, located in Mumbai's heartland. In October 2010, the building received bomb threat. In the fake email threat, miscreants had threatened of a possible attack on Delhi-Mumbai jet flight, the BSE building in Maharashtra capital, or the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi, reported NDTV in 2010.
After receiving the fake bomb threat, the Mumbai-Delhi flight, and other two locations were put on high alert and a thorough investigation was carried out.
