The total volume in DeFi is currently $6.95 Billion, 11.64% of the total crypto market 24-hour volume. The volume of all stable coins stood at $52.94 Billion, which is 88.70% of the total crypto market 24-hour volume.

Bitcoin price continued to extend losses as it was down 0.22% at $36,429.28 per token. At today's price, the world's largest cryptocurrency Bitcoin has a market capitalization of $712.08 Billion.

The world's second largest cryptocurrency Ethereum has been in focus after asset management giant BlackRock on Thursday filed for a spot Ethereum exchange-traded fund (ETF), doubling down on its cryptocurrency bets amidst investor optimism about the approval of such investment vehicles.

The iShares Ethereum Trust, registered last week and will be listed on Nasdaq if approved, will give investors access to ether without directly owning it.
