Additionally, in what is seen as an important update in the crypto market, the trial of Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF), the former CEO of one of the cryptocurrency industry's biggest exchanges, started Tuesday to determine if he committed massive fraud against over a million clients.

SBF's empire collapsed last November when a news report highlighted unhealthy ties between the FTX platform and Alameda Research, the firm's crypto-focused investment arm.
