The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has partnered with Mappls MapmyIndia to integrate real-time metro information into the app, benefiting over 35 million users. This collaboration aims to improve travel efficiency across NCR.
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has partnered with Mappls MapmyIndia to incorporate real-time metro data into the Mappls App. This collaboration will enable over 35 million users to access detailed metro information, including nearby stations, routes, fares, line changes, train frequencies, and travel times directly through the app.

DMRC's Managing Director, Vikas Kumar, highlighted that this integration will make commuting across the National Capital Region (NCR) more efficient. Commuters will benefit from improved planning, easier navigation, and time savings. The initiative aims to enhance the overall travel experience for metro users in the region.
Enhancing Urban Mobility with Real-Time Data
According to DMRC, this integration will also foster transparency and public engagement through Mappls' advanced traffic and engagement platform. The app will allow users to report real-time civic and traffic issues such as congestion, parking problems, or waterlogging directly to authorities. This feature is expected to improve urban mobility and promote proactive traffic management.
MapmyIndia's co-founder and group chairman, Rakesh Verma, mentioned that this partnership will soon be part of the app's multi-modal transport feature. He expressed pride in contributing Swadeshi technology that aligns with the vision of an Aatmanirbhar Viksit Bharat. This collaboration follows a recent agreement with Indian Railways announced by Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.
Promoting Road Safety Through Technology
The initiative is set to enhance road safety by providing real-time alerts on accidents and breakdowns. By integrating these features into the app, users can stay informed about potential hazards and plan their journeys accordingly. This proactive approach aims to create safer roads for commuters in the NCR.
The integration of DMRC's metro data with the Mappls app represents a significant step towards smarter urban transportation solutions. By leveraging digital mapping and geospatial technology, this collaboration seeks to streamline travel experiences for millions of users while supporting sustainable urban development goals.
