Drishyam 3 Release Date: The third part of Ajay Devgn's most profitable franchise, Drisyham, is all set to hit the movie theatres next year in October. The movie makers, on Monday, December 22, announced Drishyam 3 release date.

Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn is featured in multiple blockbuster franchises like Singham, Golmaal, etc. However, Drishyam, a Hindi remake of Mohanlal's Malayalam franchise, continues to be his most profitable franchise so far.

Drishyam 3 Release Date

In the third part of Drishyam franchise, Ajay Devgn returns as Vijay Salgaonkar, with Tabu, Shriya Saran and Rajat Kapoor also coming back. Ishita Dutta and Mrunal Jadhav, who play Vijay's daughters, are part of the cast again. The film continues the storyline that began with Drishyam in 2015 and Drishyam 2 in 2022.

Drisyham 3 will hit silver screens on October 2, 2026. The movie makers have confirmed the movie release date. The date remains important for the franchise, as key events in the earlier films took place around October 2. A special promo video revealed the release plan.
The shoot for Drishyam 3 is already underway and is expected to finish in the first half of next year. An official trailer is not ready yet, and the team is expected to share it sometime in 2026. There is still no clarity on whether Akshaye Khanna, the cop from Drishyam 2, will appear.

Drishyam Remains Ajay Devgn's Most Profitable Franchise

The Drishyam franchise has generated an estimated profit of Rs 316.75 crore from Drishyam and Drishyam 2 combined, translating into a profit margin of around 66% when measured against the films' total production cost. In contrast, the Singham franchise has reported a profit margin of just about 5% based on its budget, according to a Koimoi.com report.

Drishyam 3 Details

Abhishek Pathak directs Drishyam 3 and also shares writing credit with Aamil Keeyan Khan and Parveez Shaikh. The film is produced by Alok Jain, Ajit Andhare, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak. The Hindi project moves forward as plans also continue for the Malayalam Drishyam 3, starring Mammootty, which is also expected in 2026.

The Hindi Drishyam films are remakes of the Malayalam originals and follow Vijay Salgaonkar, a cable operator in Goa. Vijay uses careful planning and sharp observation to shield the family after a death occurs in their home. The 2015 film was directed by Nishikant Kamat and set up the long-running story.

Both instalments performed strongly at the box office, encouraging quick plans for Drishyam 3. The first Hindi film earned Rs 197 crore worldwide, while the second film did even better, with Rs 345 crore globally.
