Freyr Energy, a leading residential rooftop solar company, is accelerating its efforts to expand its business in Madhya Pradesh's residential rooftop segment. The company aims to solarise an additional 3,000 households by the end of 2024, according to a statement from Saurabh Marda, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Freyr.

Overcoming Financial Barriers
To address the financial barriers that have hindered solar adoption, Freyr Energy is offering no-cost EMI loan schemes and facilitating quick loan evaluations. The company's initiatives align with the Madhya Pradesh Renewable Energy Policy MPREP-2022, which aims to transform the state into a renewable energy hub by 2030.
Increased Government Subsidies
The recent increase in government subsidies for rooftop solar in the residential sector has further encouraged homeowners to adopt solar energy. The central financial support has been enhanced to Rs 18,000/kWp from the previous Rs 14,588/kWp for projects up to 3 KW. This represents a 23 per cent increase in the national subsidy, resulting in a refund of Rs 54,000 for a 3kW solar system.
Making Solar Energy Easy and Rewarding
Freyr Energy's goal is to make solar energy not just a choice but an easy and rewarding experience for everyone. The company's initiatives are designed to remove financial barriers and provide a seamless experience for homeowners interested in adopting solar energy.
Freyr Energy's expansion plans in Madhya Pradesh's residential rooftop solar segment are aligned with the state's renewable energy goals. The company's focus on affordability and customer convenience, coupled with increased government subsidies, is expected to accelerate the adoption of solar energy in the state.
