Diwali celebration is just a few days away, and all we want is approval from our managers for the Diwali holidays. As tough deadlines, work pressure and extended shifts have become the new normal, a Delhi based firm has sent all of its employees to nine-day Diwali break.
A Delhi-based PR firm sent an email to all of its employees, asking them to "switch off from emails, binge-watch family dramas, stock up on sweets, light up diyas, and spend time with family" for nine-days.

The firm has sent all of its employees to a nine-day festive break to spend "time with families, celebrate, and recharge," according to a Linkedin post. Riya Pandey, an employee of Elite Marque, shared that she was "blessed" to be at the company where leader makes " work place feel like family."
"Today, an email dropped in our inbox. It was not about work or deadlines, but about the essence of work-life balance. Our firm, Elite Marque, gave all of us a 9 day festive break to spend with our families, celebrate and recharge," read the post shared by Pandey. Elite Marque is a PR firm founded by Rajat Grover in 2021.
She also explained the essence of being at a genuine workplace, which is characterised by an employer who consistently "places the needs and well-being of their employees at the forefront," and recognises that a "thriving workforce is the foundation for organizational success and innovation".
In her Linkedin post, the employee also shared how even she was unaware about the decision of 9-week holiday despite being an HR. "To my surprise I was not the one sending this email to employees. I was just another employee smiling at my screen, already imagining long evening chatters, late-night laughter with cousins and the joy of simply being with loved ones," she wrote further in her post.
