Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City) in Gandhinagar has partnered with TiE, Inc., formerly known as The Indus Entrepreneurs, to boost economic growth and create jobs through entrepreneurship. This collaboration aims to build a strong business ecosystem in India, according to an official release.

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed on Tuesday between Gujarat International Finance Tec-City Company Ltd (GIFTCL) and TiE, a global non-profit organisation dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship. The MoU outlines a framework for promoting innovation, attracting investments, and creating a supportive environment for businesses in India through GIFT City.
Focus on Economic Growth and Employment
The partnership aims to drive economic growth and generate significant employment opportunities, as stated in the release by GIFT City, India's only International Financial Services Centre (IFSC). The collaboration will make GIFT City the preferred destination for TiE members and portfolio companies by providing regulatory guidance, advisory support, and assistance with necessary approvals, licenses, and space allocation.
Both parties will also engage in joint promotion and branding activities. They will collaborate on studies and research publications and conduct outreach programmes targeting entrepreneurs and investors interested in the Indian market. This comprehensive approach is designed to foster a robust business ecosystem.
Access to World-Class Infrastructure
Under the MoU, GIFT City will offer access to its world-class infrastructure facilities. This includes providing regulatory guidance and advisory support to businesses. The aim is to create an enabling environment that attracts top-tier entrepreneurs and businesses to GIFT City.
A committee will meet periodically to discuss progress, address challenges, and explore new opportunities. An annual entrepreneurship summit will also be hosted at GIFT City involving the larger TiE network. This summit aims to bring together entrepreneurs and investors from around the world.
GIFT City MD and Group CEO Tapan Ray said, "We are delighted to partner with TiE, a global leader in entrepreneurship. The collaboration will enable us to attract top-tier entrepreneurs and businesses to GIFT City, further solidifying our position as a leading financial and technology services hub."
This partnership between GIFT City and TiE represents a significant step towards creating a thriving business environment in India. By leveraging each other's strengths, both organisations aim to drive innovation and economic growth while providing ample employment opportunities.
