Gold Price India Falls For 3rd Day, May 14: 24K/100 Grams Gold Price Declines By Rs 8,700

Gold prices India slipped for 3rd day consecutive day today thus making it attractive for gold buyers as they can buy the yellow metal at reduced prices. Meanwhile, investors are looking forward to key US inflation data that could throw light into the timing of US Fed's initial rate adjustment. The U.S. is expected to declare the producer price index (PPI) data on Tuesday and consumer price index (CPI) on Wednesday, according to report.

22K gold price today declined by Rs 400 to Rs 66,750/10 grams in India and 100 grams of 22 carat yellow metal price slipped by Rs 4000 in the country to Rs 6,67,500 on May 14. Meanwhile, 24k precious metal prices got cheaper by Rs 430 to Rs 72,820/10 grams and 100 grams of 24 carat yellow metal prices declined by Rs 4300 to Rs 7,28,200 on Tuesday. It is worth mentioning that 100 grams of 24k gold prices in India declined by Rs 8,700 now for 3rd day today.

Meanwhile, 18k yellow metal prices fell by Rs 320 to Rs 54,620/10 grams and 100 grams of 18 carat gold prices are quoted at Rs 5,46,200 on May 14.

Silver prices India today witnessed a rally. 1kg silver prices India got dearer by Rs 700 to Rs 87,200 and 100 grams silver prices surged by Rs 70 to Rs 8,720.

Spot gold stayed steady at $2,335.93 per ounce, as of 0052 GMT. Bullion prices declined 1% on Monday. US gold futures slipped 0.1% to $2,341.60. It is interesting to note that share of gold in India's foreign reserve surged, according to country's central bank. It surged to 8.15% in March-end, from 7.37% during September end.

Gold price today declined by Rs 400, fell by Rs 100 on May 13, slipped by Rs 300 on May 11, surged sharply by Rs 1400 on May 10 (Akshaya Tritiya), dived by Rs 100 on May 9, fell again by Rs 100 on May 8, surged by Rs 300 on May 7, rose by Rs 200 on May 6, and remained stable on May 5.
