Gold price in India remained steady today after witnessing decline for 2 consecutive days amid softer than expected US retails sales data firmed bets of Federal Reserve rate cuts. 24k gold price today is quoting Rs 72,220/10 grams and 100 grams of 24 carat yellow metal prices today stood at Rs 7,22, 200 today. 22k gold prices today in India is retailing at Rs 66,200/10 gram and 100 grams of 22 carat yellow metal prices stood at Rs 6,62,000.

On the other hand, you will need to pay Rs 54,160/10 grams to buy 18 carat yellow metal in India today. You will have to shell out Rs 5,41,600 to buy 100 grams of 18k precious metal in the country today.

According to Reuters, more central banks plan to add to their gold reserves within a year and more of them expect others to do so as well, due to macroeconomic and political uncertainty despite high prices for the precious metal, the World Gold Council (WGC) said in its annual survey.

Spot Gold, Spot Silver Prices Today: Spot gold held its ground at $2,327.76 per ounce, as of 0115 GMT. US gold futures edged 0.2% lower to $2,342.00. Spot silver slipped 0.4% to $29.40 per ounce, platinum fell 0.4% at $968.59 and palladium surged 0.1% to $887.67, according to Reuters.

According to Reuters, "The quarter ahead of us is probably where gold takes a pause before rallying again. Gold had rallied pretty hard in April-May and now it is going through a bit of adjustment to the reality," Nitesh Shah, commodity strategist at WisdomTree, said. "Once we start seeing rate cuts gold will start rising again," Shah said.He forecasts gold price at $2,570 in June 2025, subject to cooling inflation and other factors, added Reuters report.

Silver Prices Today: Silver prices today in India slipped by Rs 500 to 91,000/kg and 100 grams silver prices today declined by Rs 50 to Rs 9,100.
