Gold Prices In India Declines, June 5: 22K/100 Grams Gold Slips By Rs 2K, Big Dip In Silver

Gold prices in India today declined as investors are looking forward to data due this week for clues on job markets health and ECB policy meetings. Silver prices too witnessed sharp fall on June 5, 2024 in the country. 22K gold prices today fell by Rs 200 to Rs 66,600/10 grams. 100 grams of 22 carat gold prices turned cheaper by Rs 2000 to Rs 6,66,000. 24K yellow metal prices in India today retailing at Rs 72,650 after declining by Rs 220 and 100 grams of 24 carat gold prices slipped by Rs 2,200 to settle at Rs 7,26,500.

18K gold lost glitter today as prices dived by Rs 160 to Rs 54,490/10 grams and 100 grams of 18 carat precious metal prices today turned cheaper by Rs 1600 to Rs 5,44,900 on Wednesday.

Spot Gold, Spot Silver Prices Today: Spot gold fell 0.8% at $2,332.43 per ounce, as of 1008 GMT. Prices hit their lowest level in nearly a month on Monday before closing 1% higher. Spot silver slipped 3% to $29.84 per ounce, platinum declined 0.9% at $1,002.71 and palladium fell 1% to $908.61.

According to Reuters, ""Gold prices have suffered with the bouncing back of the US dollar after a few days of weakness," said Ricardo Evangelista, senior analyst at ActivTrades.

"With uncertainty around geopolitics and global economic growth alongside strong government purchases, there is a good chance that gold prices are likely to go back to the maximums reached a few weeks ago and even beyond," Evangelista said.

Silver Prices Today: Silver prices in India today witnessed sharp fall by Rs 2300 to Rs 91,700. 100 grams silver prices in India today fell by Rs 230 to Rs 9,170.
