GRAP 3 In Delhi Due To Poor AQI: Delhi's hazardous air quality index (AQI) near 425, led the Delhi government to invoke Stage III of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) on Tuesday, November 11. The stringent restrictions would lead to a complete halt of non-essential activities, ban on BS 3 petrol and BS 4 diesel four wheelers in the region, and other measures.
Meanwhile, the Delhi government has announced a hybrid mode of education for students up to Class 5. The air quality in Delhi-NCR has deteriorated to hazardous levels, as stagnant winds and a dip in temperature have created conditions that allow pollutants to remain suspended in the air for longer durations.

As GRAP III measures have been imposed in Delhi, here are all the details about what will remain open and what will remain closed in Delhi on Wednesday. Before that, let's also understand more about GRAP III guidelines.
What is GRAP III?
The Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) is a framework to deal with rising air pollution in the Delhi-NCR region. The framework includes three tier of action plans which are imposed for different levels of pollution.
GRAP Stage 1 is imposed when the AQI hovers in the 201-300 range. GRAP Stage 2 is invoked when the air quality declines to very poor and hover in the range of 301-400. Third stage of GRAP comes into effect to tackle hazardous level of air pollution, with AQI between 401 and 450.

All construction activities, demolition, earthwork, piling, trenching, and open-air operations of Ready-Mix Concrete (RMC) plants will remain shut from Tuesday.
