Bihar ministers Nitish Mishra and Santosh Kumar Suman inaugurated HCL Technologies' global delivery centre in Patna on Tuesday. Mishra, who oversees Industries, and Suman, in charge of Information Technology, were joined by top officials from both the government and the company for the event.

HCL Technologies' Chief Financial Officer, Prateek Aggarwal, highlighted Bihar's potential. "Bihar has immense potential in terms of availability of quality talent and the centre will contribute to the company’s objective of being the preferred digital transformation partner to global enterprises," he stated. He also noted that the centre would help develop the local technology ecosystem and create opportunities for local youth.
HCL Technologies' New Vistas Program
The new global delivery centre aligns with HCLTech's strategy to tap into quality talent by expanding to new locations in India under its New Vistas program. The centre, situated inside the Udyog Bhawan Complex in Patna, will provide modern workspaces for employees along with training and growth opportunities across HCLTech's global network.
Mishra expressed his satisfaction with HCL Tech's decision to establish an office in Patna. He believes this move will positively impact Bihar's IT sector and encourage other IT companies to invest in the state. "This will lead to positive changes for IT sector in Bihar and inspire other IT companies to invest in the state," he said.
Boosting Technology Innovation
In a statement, HCLTech mentioned that this is their first centre in Bihar. The centre will also feature specialised labs and centres of excellence aimed at enhancing HCLTech's technology innovation capabilities. It will offer a wide range of services to global clients, further strengthening the company's service portfolio.
The inauguration marks a significant step for HCLTech as it continues to expand its footprint across India. The presence of such a facility is expected to bring substantial benefits not only to the company but also to the local community by fostering technological growth and providing employment opportunities.
The new centre is expected to play a crucial role in HCLTech's overall strategy by leveraging local talent and contributing to digital transformation efforts globally. This initiative underscores the company's commitment to innovation and excellence while supporting regional development.
The establishment of this centre is seen as a milestone for both HCLTech and Bihar, promising mutual growth and development. It signifies a collaborative effort towards building a robust technology ecosystem in the region.
