On Monday, shares of HDFC Bank rose as much as 3.3 percent to Rs 1,110 apiece on NSE after the private sector provided an update on its business for the April-June quarter.

In a stock exchange filing on Saturday, the bank said its advances aggregated to approximately Rs 10,045 billion as of 30 June 2020, a growth of around 21 percent when compared to Rs 8,297 billion in the same period a year ago.
HDFC Bank's deposits were approximately Rs 11,895 billion in June 2020 ended quarter, which a year-on-year growth of around 25 percent as compared to Rs 9,546 billion as of June 2019, its statement said. As of 31 March 2020, the bank's deposits were Rs 11,475 billion.
The Bank's CASA ratio stood at around 40 percent as of 30 June 2020, as compared to 39.7 percent as on 30 June 2019 and 42.2 percent as of 31 March 2020.
"During the quarter ended June 30, 2020, the Bank purchased loans aggregating Rs 13.76 billion through the direct assignment route under the home loan arrangement with Housing Development Finance Corporation Limited," the bank's filing added.
