The Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM-C), in partnership with the IIM Calcutta Innovation Park, is preparing to host the Second National Conclave on Entrepreneurship. Scheduled for August 16 and 17, the event will take place at the IIM Calcutta campus. Themed "India 2047: Quantum Leap through Entrepreneurship," this two-day gathering aims to unite entrepreneurs, policymakers, investors, industry leaders, and academicians to discuss India's innovation-driven future.

Focus on Entrepreneurship and Innovation
The conclave will explore how entrepreneurship can shape a socially responsible, inclusive, and globally competitive India. According to Ajay Jain, Chairman of the IIM Calcutta Innovation Park, the event serves as a dynamic platform connecting alumni with India's entrepreneurial ecosystem. It encourages collaboration, mentorship, and investment opportunities while highlighting innovation and value creation.
Subhrangshu Sanyal, CEO of IIM Calcutta Innovation Park, described the conclave as a movement to inspire bold ideas and foster collaborations that could redefine India's growth trajectory. He emphasised the importance of empowering entrepreneurs who can deliver scalable solutions with inclusion as India looks towards 2047.
Bridging Innovation and National Progress
Alok Kumar Rai, Director of IIM Calcutta, stated that entrepreneurship acts as a bridge between innovation and national progress. He highlighted the institute's commitment to nurturing ventures that create economic value while addressing pressing national challenges. The conclave embodies this vision by bringing together thought leaders, investors, and changemakers.
The IIM Calcutta Innovation Park was established under the aegis of IIM-C to promote entrepreneurship and innovation. This initiative aims to strengthen alumni engagement and inspire collective action towards building an inclusive innovation economy. The conclave will also allow the institute to showcase its latest achievements and future vision.
