Mehta served as the President and CEO of RBL from its foundation in 2007 until he stepped down from his executive role in 2024. Over his 17-year tenure, he played a pivotal role in bringing over 90 global fashion, lifestyle, and luxury brands to India, making them easily accessible to Indian consumers.

During Mehta's tenure, RBL established key partnerships with renowned international brands such as Valentino, Versace, Armani, Bottega Veneta, Coach, Jimmy Choo, Muji, Zegna, Boss, and Pottery Barn. He was an industry veteran with over 30 years of experience. Mehta began his career at Price Waterhouse in Mumbai. He also held a senior position at Trikaya Grey Advertising, now part of WPP Group, where he sharpened his skills in branding and communications.
Not just a Chartered Accountant, but also a Cost and Works Accountant, Mr. Mehta skillfully combined his financial expertise with a creative approach. This made him a rare leader who could both plan and execute successful brand strategies.
