IndiGo And Turkish Airlines Launch Codeshare Flights To U.S., Expanding Global Connectivity

IndiGo, one of India's leading low-cost airlines, has announced its plans to start codeshare flights to the United States, marking a significant milestone for the airline. The codeshare agreement will allow IndiGo passengers to seamlessly connect to multiple destinations in the U.S. through its partner airlines.

The flights, which will be operated in collaboration with Turkish Airlines, will begin service to New York, Boston, Chicago, and Washington on June 15, according to a press release issued on Friday.

The airline, which has the greatest domestic market share in India, already offers codeshare connections to 33 locations.

"We are thrilled to expand our codeshare partnership with Turkish Airlines, for the first time across the Atlantic to the United States of America. New York, Boston, Chicago, and Washington are renowned for their cultural significance, iconic landmarks, and vibrant lifestyles," IndiGo's Head of Global Sales Vinay Malhotra said.

IndiGo and Turkish Airlines signed a codeshare agreement in 2019 that permits two or more aviation businesses to utilise and sell the same flight under their respective names.
IndiGo, which has over 300 planes, is boosting its global connectivity at the same time that Tata Group-owned Air India is reviving and extending its fleet and routes.
IndiGo said this week that it will begin direct flights to five new foreign destinations in Africa and Central Asia, including the important cities of Tbilisi, Almaty, Nairobi, Tashkent, and Baku, beginning in July.
