The Karnataka State Brahmin Development Board has a new Sandipani Scholarship Scheme for the year 2025-2026. The KSBD Board is now inviting online applications for students from the economically weaker Brahmin community.

The Sandipani Shishyavetan Yojana is one of Karnataka's most important post-matric scholarship schemes, which is specifically designed to support students pursuing PUC, diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, NEET, CET and professional courses by offering maintenance allowance and tuition fee reimbursement.
As per the official details, the application process is now open on the State Scholarship Portal (SSP), and the last date to apply for the Sandipani Scholarship 2025-26 is February 28.
What Is the Sandipani Scholarship Scheme?
The Sandipani Scholarship Scheme, also known as Sandipani Shishyavetan, is a government-funded Brahmin scholarship scheme in Karnataka designed to uplift economically backward Brahmin students by providing financial assistance, fee reimbursement, hostel support, and allowances. The scheme mainly covers students studying in government colleges, aided institutions, and recognised unaided private institutions under the Karnataka syllabus.
Benefits Under the Sandipani Scholarship Scheme 2025-26
The Sandipani Shishyavetan Yojana offers two major financial benefits for the students.
1. First is the maintenance expense subsidy, which is Rs. 1,500 per month for 10 months, i.e., 15k per year. This is for PUC, diploma, and general degree students seeking the Karnataka maintenance allowance scholarship.
2. Another thing is fee reimbursement. Up to Rs. 1 Lakh for students admitted through KCET, NEET UG/PG and enrolled in professional courses receive the amount which basically covers the tuition, laboratory, library, exam fees, and sports fees.
However, students must also note that COMED-K students will receive only 50% tuition reimbursement, and the students admitted under the management quota are not eligible for the reimbursements under the Sandipani Scholarship 2025-26.
Eligibility Criteria for Sandipani Scholarship 2025-26
Students must meet the following conditions:
- Annual family income below Rs. 8 lakh
- Must belong to the Brahmin community
- Must be pursuing post-matric courses in Karnataka-recognised institutions
- Should have passed the previous academic year
