As per an IANS report which cited unidentified sources, soon KV Kamath veteran banker and current chairman of BRICS Bank will soon be inducted in the finance ministry. Further as per the report, other candidates likely to be inducted in the ministry include right-wing idealogue Swapan Dasgupta and Niti Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant.
Before BRICS bank, Kamath served in the chairmanship role at Infosys and had been the non-executive chairman of ICICI Bank. Since the year 2010, Kamath also was the independent director at one of the Houston-based Schlumberger, an oil services company and Lupin. He is also a member of the Board of Governors of the Pandit Deendayal.
