Cryptocurrency prices rose to fall again in Friday's trade. While volatility remains strong, most cryptocurrencies' prices have decreased in comparison to their value 24 hours earlier.
The rapid rise of Bitcoin (BTC) above $40,000 in the trading session lost steam midway as traders sought to lock in short-term profits. Despite expectations for more inflation-boosting U.S. stimulus, Bitcoin is losing ground on Friday.

After peaking at $40,440 on Coinbase, the leading cryptocurrency lost up to 12.08 percent. Before the London opening bell on Friday, it hit an intraday low of $36,410, demonstrating upside resilience among traders at the $40,000 level.
