On Thursday, Union minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that LPG prices may come down in the next month.

In a reply to a query on the constant hike in LPG prices, the Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas said, "This is not true that the price (of LPG) is constantly increasing. This month it was hiked due to the international market. However, there are indications that the prices may come down next month."
Talking to reporters in Chhattisgarh, Pradhan said that during the winters, LPG consumption increases creating pressure on the sector. While the prices have been increased this month, it will reduce in the next.
Last week, state-owned retailers increased price of 14.2 kg LPG cylinders by Rs 144.5 but the government has also raised the subsidy on them to keep the burden on domestic users unchanged.
Pradhan is on a two-day visit to Chhattisgarh where he will go to the Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) located in Durg district of the state and hold meetings with the plant officials, union representatives and others. He will also visit iron ore mines of the Bhilai Steel Plant in Dallirajhra town of neighbouring Balod district and lay the foundation of a beneficiation plant there.
