LPG Rates For Domestic Cylinders Continues To Be Same; Prices Slashed For Commercial Ones

LPG rates for domestic consumption have been maintained as though in the new month January 2022. But for the commercial LPG cylinders, the rates have been slashed by Rs. 100 per cylinder. So, likewise, commercial cylinders of 19 kg weight in Delhi have been costing Rs. 2004 beginning today.

In Kolkata the price has been at Rs. 2074.5 while that in Mumbai shall be available for Rs. 1951. The price of a 19kg commercial gas cylinder in Chennai shall be priced at Rs. 2134.5.

Hence, the domestic cylinder has been quoting as though and is priced at Rs. 899.5 per cylinder for the non-subsidised cylinder.

The government has cited fiscal deficit constraints for not disbursing any subsidy in 2021-22. Further, as per reports the governnent has been subsidising frieght in respect of domestic LPG deliveries.
