Madhya Pradesh has attracted investment proposals nearing Rs 20,000 crore during a recent mining conclave, officials announced. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav assured investors of full support, highlighting the state's plans to mine gold alongside diamonds. He also noted that stones from Mandla district were used in the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.

Investment Proposals and Agreements
During the conclave, proposals worth Rs 19,250 crore were received from 11 industrial entities. Invenire Petrodyne Ltd proposed Rs 5,000 crore for coal bed methane exploration in Betul and Chhindwara. JK Cement plans to invest Rs 2,500 crore in Panna district for cement plant expansion and Rs 1,000 crore in coal blocks in Singrauli and Shahdol.
Ambuja Cement proposed a Rs 3,000 crore investment for a cement plant in Rewa district. Dalmia Cement also plans to invest Rs 3,000 crore to establish a cement plant in Satna. A joint venture agreement was signed between MOIL and Madhya Pradesh State Mineral Corporation Limited for a mineral block.
State's Mining Potential and Technological Advancements
The conclave showcased Madhya Pradesh's mining potential, with discussions on mineral exploration, processing, and innovative technologies. Topics such as artificial intelligence and machine learning-based digitalisation were also covered. Sanjay Shukla, principal secretary to the CM and mineral resources department, highlighted the state's focus on environmental protection.
Madhya Pradesh is advancing rapidly in mining with significant mineral reserves. The state is using new technology in mining while prioritising environmental concerns. Chief Secretary Anurag Jain mentioned that MP is progressing swiftly in development and ranks second after Gujarat in electricity availability.
Significance of the Conclave
The conclave marked a milestone as it was the first separate mining event organised in Madhya Pradesh since industry conclaves began in 2007. The state's unique mineral wealth includes diamond reserves in Panna district. Yadav emphasised that alongside diamonds, gold will also be mined from the state.
Yadav expressed pride that stones from Mandla district were used in the Shri Ramlala temple's sanctum sanctorum. He described the conclave as successful and anticipated achieving a five-fold increase in mineral revenue soon. The event highlighted Madhya Pradesh's growing prominence in the mining sector.
The conclave's outcomes are expected to significantly boost Madhya Pradesh's economy by enhancing its mining capabilities. The state's commitment to technological innovation and environmental sustainability positions it as a key player in India's mining industry.
