Indian blockchain company LegitDoc to build an Ethereum-based credentialing system that will offer tamper-proof diploma certificates.
Ethereum (ETH) has been identified as the decentralized ecosystem best suited to hosting the project's massive public blockchain. This could be owing to the Ethereum 2.0 update, which is set to launch soon and will provide the ecosystem with enormous scalability.

India is one of the few countries that has implemented an e-governance system for higher education. The planned alliance aims to combat the spread of document fraud, despite the Maharashtra State Board of Skill Development (MSBSD) rejecting India's stance on the crypto prohibition and the use of Ethereum-based blockchain platforms.
The Maharashtra State Board of Skill Development (MSBSD) is employing Ethereum-based public blockchains to address the growth in document falsification. This is in direct opposition to India's crypto embargo argument.
LegitDoc currently has a work order from the Government of Karnataka (Department of Information Technology and Biotechnology) and is in discussions with the Governments of Telangana (school education department) and Maharashtra's Higher and Technical Education Department to implement LegitDoc for their student communities.
LegitDoc is focused on identifying a fool-proof, tamper-proof, and bullet-proof document using blockchain technology, the most secure record-keeping system in the twenty-first century. It includes mark sheets, certificates, insurance papers, permits, invoices, land records, tickets, and many other types of documents.
