Mahavatar Narsimha, the mythological animated action drama by director Ashwin Kumar and produced by Hombale Films and Kleem Productions, continues its stellar run at the box office. The film saw its Day 2 (Saturday) collection surge to Rs 4.70 crore, more than 100% growth over its opening day performance.
On Friday, the film made a strong debut with Rs 2.29 crore net, led by its Hindi version which earned approximately Rs 1.51 crore on opening day.

The Hindi version emerged as the front-runner, grossing between Rs 3.75 and Rs4 crore on Saturday (Rs 3.25 crore net), reflecting a robust turnout in North India. Meanwhile, the Telugu version witnessed a remarkable 200%+ increase from Day 1, collecting around Rs 1.25 crore. The other dubbed versions added another Rs 25 lakh, contributing to the total Rs 4.70 crore gross on Day 2.
On its opening day (Friday), the film earned Rs 2.29 crore net, bringing its two-day total to nearly Rs 7 crore, setting the stage for a strong opening weekend.
Mahavatar Narsimha Behind The Scene: Creative Crew
Directed by Ashwin Kumar and produced by Hombale Films, the studio behind KGF and Kantara in collaboration with Kleem Productions, Mahavatar Narsimha blends Indian mythology with modern animation. The screenplay, penned by Jayapurna Das and Rudra Pratap Ghosh, has been praised for its emotional depth and scriptural fidelity.
The voice cast includes veteran artists and has resonated well with both families and religious audiences, further expanding its reach.
Film to Be Dubbed in International Languages
The film's producers have announced plans to release Mahavatar Narsimha globally. While the current release includes subtitles in English, work is underway to dub the film in English, Japanese, Spanish, Korean, and Russian - marking one of the most ambitious global pushes for an Indian animated film.
Director Ashwin Kumar stated in an interview, "Mahavatar Narsimha will initially cater to global audiences with subtitles, but we're committed to making this story accessible in multiple languages worldwide."

With growing enthusiasm and positive word-of-mouth, trade analysts expect Mahavatar Narsimha to cross the Rs 10 crore mark by the end of its opening weekend, potentially making it the highest-grossing Hindi animated film to date, surpassing the benchmark set by Hanuman in 2005.
The movie also marks the beginning of the Mahavatar Cinematic Universe, with sequels already announced including Mahavatar Parshuram, Mahavatar Raghunandan and Mahavatar Kalki.
