Chennai, March 10: Metropolis Healthcare Ltd, a leading healthcare provider in India, has announced the distribution of scholarships and research grants worth Rs 1.70 crore to 301 deserving students through its corporate social responsibility arm, Metropolis Foundation. The majority of the recipients are women pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate medical education across the country.

Metropolis Healthcare organizes its annual MedEngage Summit to foster and support medical talent in India. The scholarships recognize the exceptional achievements of the candidates in academic performance, extracurricular activities, and research presentations. Tamil Nadu Labour Welfare and Skill Development Department Additional Chief Secretary Kumar Jayant and Directorate of Medical Education and Research Nodal Officer P Shanmugapriya graced the occasion and distributed the grants to the deserving students.
