A conference in Indore focused on urban development in Madhya Pradesh, where Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced a plan for Rs 30,000 crore investments in both public and private projects. The Madhya Pradesh Growth Conclave, themed "Next Horizon: Building Cities of Tomorrow," aimed to unlock investment potential through various initiatives.

Investment proposals worth Rs 12,473 crore from 15 companies were discussed at the conclave. These projects are expected to create over 14,000 jobs, according to Yadav. Additionally, urban development projects valued at Rs 12,360 crore were announced, covering housing, water supply, sewerage, and infrastructure improvements.
Investment Opportunities and Urbanisation
The state's real estate sector shows promising opportunities, especially in developing integrated townships. The Chief Minister assured investors of quick project approvals. To support planned urbanisation, metropolitan authorities are being established around major cities to include surrounding areas.
State Urban Development and Housing Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya emphasised the government's adaptable approach to industry regulations. He stated, "Our laws are not like Ramayana or Gita that can never be changed. If needed, we will amend them in future."
Engagement with Stakeholders
During the one-day conclave, CM Yadav engaged with key investors from sectors such as hospitality, tourism, real estate, and infrastructure. The event saw participation from over 1,500 stakeholders from both government and private sectors, including industrialists and corporate representatives.
The conclave facilitated the signing of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs), laying foundations for new projects in both public and private sectors. It also involved transferring funds under various government schemes to boost investment potential.
The state government organised the conclave to explore investment opportunities and discuss urban development strategies. The event aimed to foster collaboration between public and private sectors to build sustainable cities for the future.
