The BJP Parliamentary Board has appointed Bihar minister and five-time MLA Nitin Nabin as the party's National Working President, with immediate effect. The Bharatiya Janata Party's new appointment is highly significant because Nitin Nabin is the youngest working president in BJP's history and the first leader from Bihar to hold the post.

Currently, Nitin Nabin represents the Bankipur Assembly constituency in Patna district and serves as the Road Construction Minister in the Nitish Kumar-Samrat Choudhary-led Bihar government. He has strong organisational leadership with deep grassroots experience.
As per reports, he is widely expected to succeed JP Nadda as full national president in 2026, with his formal election likely in January and ratification at the party's National Council meeting later.
Nitin Nabin Net Worth: What Do His Election Affidavits Show?
As per Nitin Nabin's latest election affidavit filed for the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, his net worth is estimated to be between Rs. 3.1 crore and Rs. 3.3 crore. His total declared assets include both movable and immovable properties, while liabilities stand at approximately Rs. 56.7 lakh. His annual income has been declared at roughly Rs. 4.8 lakh.
Nitin Nabin: Political Background and Rise in BJP
Nitin Nabin comes from a well-known political family in Bihar. He is the son of the late Nabin Kishore Prasad Sinha, a veteran BJP leader and former MLA. At just 45 years of age, Nitin Nabin has built nearly two decades of political and organisational experience within the BJP.
In the Bihar Assembly elections held in November 2025, Nitin Nabin secured a decisive victory from Bankipur, defeating RJD candidate Rekha Kumari by a margin of 51,936 votes. After the election, he was inducted into the Bihar cabinet. On December 14, 2025, the BJP officially announced his appointment as National Working President.
