Cab aggregating companies Ola and Uber said that they will not be keeping the "surge pricing" option activated during the 12-day odd-even vehicle driving scheme in Delhi, that will begin on 4 November.
"Continuing our efforts to provide commuters an optimum and seamless experience, we will have no peak pricing on rides booked on the Ola platform during the odd-even period. We encourage all driver-partners, passengers, and citizens to participate and make the third edition of the scheme, a success," said Ola on Saturday.

As per a PTI report, Uber told the news agency last month that it would be deactivating the surge pricing model during the implementation of the odd-even scheme in the national capital.
Apart from being a supportive gesture from these companies to the Delhi government and the residents of the city, the scheme is also an opportunity for these businesses to unlock the potential of shared mobility.
According to the Delhi government, advisories have also been issued to autorickshaws and e-rickshaws to avoid over-charging commuters.
The Delhi government in an effort to improve the air quality in the Delhi-NCR region had announced the implementation of the odd-even scheme between 4 to 15 November.
The odd-even scheme forms part of the Delhi government's 7-point plan to tackle pollution in the national capital post-Diwali.
The scheme is based on the last digit of a vehicle's registration number. Odd and even numbered vehicles will be allowed on the roads on alternate days.
Emergency vehicles are not subject to the rule. Further, previously followed exemption for privately owned CNG vehicles will not be available this time, however, two-wheelers have been exempted.
The AAP government's flagship scheme was first introduced in 2015 to combat pollution.
