The Paytm app now has a revolutionary feature that enables users to locate open slots for COVID-19 vaccines in their region. According to Paytm founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma on Twitter, the COVID-19 Vaccine Slot Finder tool has been rolled out to Paytm users for both Android and iOS smartphones. The tool uses real-time data from CoWIN, which stands for COVID-19 Vaccine Intelligence Network and is India's COVID-19 vaccination service. Paytm creator Vijay Shekhar Sharma made the release yesterday on Twitter. Since the tool on the application is regularly used by users for digital payments, it has the potential to dramatically improve the country's vaccination campaign. The application function is created in such a way that it represents and combines real-time data from the government vaccine digital portal CoWIN. Users should be aware that the details available on the CoWIN Vaccinator App, the government website, and the Paytm feature will all be identical.

Users will be required to enter their area PIN code and district to assist the search tool in locating available vaccination centres in their area. The functionality has also been developed to send updates to users about when vaccine slots become available in their region. When a slot becomes vacant, users will be alerted and must book their visit on the scheduled date and time. Paytm founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma announced on Twitter that the latest COVID-19 Vaccine Slot Finder feature in the Paytm app will help users locate slots at vaccination centres in their region. Users can enter their pin code or district to verify availability at local centres and get notifications when new slots become open. Both 18+ and 45+ age groups can use this tool and the Vaccine Slot Finder will display open slots for the coming four weeks. If no slots are available, users can opt to be alerted by Paytm Chat when a slot becomes available. If a slot is open, users should choose a date and will be directed to the Co-WIN website/app to book their appointment. The Paytm Vaccine Slot Finder extracts real-time data of slot availability from the CoWIN portal, but users cannot book appointments using the tool.
