RBI Board Gives Nod To Transfer Rs 57,128 Crore Dividend To Centre
The board of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has given the nod for transfer of Rs 57,128 crore in surplus as dividend to the centre for the accounting year 2019-20, the central bank said in a statement released on August 14. Also, the contingency risk buffer has been decided to be maintained at 5.5%.

The Central board led by RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das met over video conference today.This was the 584th meeting of the Central Board, said the RBI release.
During the meet the board made an assessment of the ongoing economic situation, continuing global as well as domestic headwinds together with monetary, regulatory and other steps taken so as to tide over the economic fall-out due to the Covid 19 pandemic, said the RBI.
