The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has issued the list of bank holidays for the month of August. As per RBI calendar, banks will remain shut for 13 days in the month of August.
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has issued the list of bank holidays for the month of August. As per RBI calendar, banks will remain shut for 13 days in the month of August. The private and public lender will remain closed on statutory holidays, gazette holidays and on Sundays.

Banks will not work on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of every month. Barring these holidays, there will be some regional festivals in different states and on these occasions the local branches of the banks will not function.
You may check the entire list so that you can decide in advance work related to your banks for the month of August. Meanwhile, customers will be able to avail the online banking services during these holidays.

August 1: Sunday
August 8: Sunday
August 14: Second Saturday
August 15: Sunday
August 22: Sunday
August 28: Fourth Saturday
August 29: Sunday
Banks will remain closed on national and regional holidays given below:
August 1: Drukpa Tshe-zi (Sikkim)
August 8 and 9: Muharram
August 11 and 12: Raksha Bandhan
August 13: Patriot's Day
August 15: Independence Day
August 16: Parsi New Year (Shahenshahi)
August 18: Janmashtami
August 19: Shravan Vad/Krishna Jayanthi
August 20: Sri Krishna Ashtami
August 29: Tithi of Srimanta Sankardeva
August 31: Samvatsari (Chaturthi Paksha)/Ganesh Chaturthi/Varasiddhi Vinayaka Vrata/Vinayakar Chathurthi
Banks will not work all over India on Independence Day i.e. August 15.
