Renault Duster 2026: Features
The new Renault Duster 2026 comes with three powertrain options to cater to a wide range of customers. The entry-level 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine produces 100 PS of power and 160 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The mid-level 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine delivers 163 PS and 280 Nm, available with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic (DCT). For those seeking a hybrid option, Renault plans to introduce a strong-hybrid petrol setup combining a 1.8-litre engine with an electric motor, producing 160 PS and paired with an 8-speed automatic, expected to launch during Diwali 2026.
In terms of exterior design, the 2026 Duster retains its rugged SUV stance while adopting a modern and sharper design language. For the Indian market, the SUV features pronounced wheel arches and a horizontal LED rear light bar, distinguishing it from its global counterpart.
Inside, the Duster introduces a driver-focused cabin inspired by fighter jet cockpits, combining ruggedness with a premium feel. The layered dashboard features angular design elements and Y-shaped chrome AC vents, while the raised centre console houses a compact electronic gear selector. The cabin uses leatherette upholstery across the seats, dashboard, and door panels, finished in black with contrast stitching and subtle green accents. A three-spoke multifunction steering wheel completes the cockpit-style layout, complemented by minimal physical buttons for a clean and modern design.
On the technology and safety front, the Renault Duster 2026 is the first Renault model in India to offer Level 2 ADAS. The system includes adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, autonomous emergency braking, and traffic sign recognition, enhancing both convenience and safety for the driver.
