RIL 46TH AGM: Jio Airfiber Launching On 19th September To Boost Revenue

On Monday, August 28, 2023, Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) started its 46th Annual General Meeting. Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance, revealed at the Reliance AGM 2023 that Jio AirFibre will be released on Ganesh Chaturthi, September 19, 2023.

"Today, I'm delighted to announce that Jio AirFiber will launch on the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi on 19th September, giving us another avenue for customer value and revenue growth, " said Mukesh Ambani.

"Our extensive Jio Fiber service already serves over 10 million customers, with hundreds of thousands more getting connected each month. And now, with Jio AirFiber, we are expanding our addressable market to over 200 million homes and other premises. Jio AirFiber is an aspirational service that will touch the lives of every Indian, becoming an integral part of every Indian household. Through a combination of JioFiber and JioAirFiber, our turnaround time to fulfil a customer order will be among the fastest in the world," said Akash Ambani while addressing AGM.

By unveiling the Jio True5G Developer Platform, Akash Ambani makes the announcement that the Jio True5G Lab facility will accelerate the industry transformation. Jio Smart Home Services was also introduced by Jio Chairman Akash Ambani.

The Reliance Industries Board of Directors discussed and recommended to the shareholders at its meeting today that Isha, Akash, and Anant Ambani be appointed as non-executive directors of the company. The Board of Directors also accepted Nita Ambani's resignation from the Board in recognition.
