In an era dominated by money, a simple act of kindness has won hearts online. Recently, a Swiggy customer shared a touching incident with a delivery partner, highlighting the value of trust and generosity. The story quickly went viral, sparking various discussions on social media platforms.
The story was shared by Nirmal Nambiar on his social media platform Threads, where he narrated about how he faced an unexpected payment issue for a Swiggy order placed at 3:30 am. Nirmal said that he was unable to make payment for the order due to bank server issues. With no immediate solution, he tried calling his friends for help, but none of them answered his calls.

Finding himself in a tough spot, Nirmal considered two options - either cancel the order or convince the delivery agent to let him pay in the morning. He chose the latter and within five minutes convinced the delivery partner. To his surprise, the delivery agent readily agreed, showing an unexpected level of trust in someone he had never met before. Tagging Swiggy, Nirmal also wrote, "You are lucky to have great and understanding delivery partners."
In the viral post, titled 'Brotherhood Over Money', Nirmal quoted the delivery agent's response, "You feel like a brother, so I trust you." Moved by the kind gesture, Nirmal made sure to settle the payment first thing in the morning. As a token of appreciation, he even transferred Rs 1,000 to the delivery agent, more than the order amount. The delivery partner replied, "Bhaichara on peak!"
The post went viral within minutes, eliciting different reactions from social media users. While many applauded the kind act of delivery partner, others remained skeptical of Nirmal's situation. Some users found it inspiring, praising the agent's kindness, while others questioned why Nirmal had no backup payment option.
Customer Celebrates Zomato Delivery Partner's Birthday
In a similar incident last year, a heartwarming reel showcasing a Zomato customer's thoughtful gesture toward a delivery agent took Instagram by storm, garnering over a million views.
The video begins with a Zomato order tracking screen, indicating that the delivery agent is just five minutes away. A small note from Zomato below the tracking screen caught their attention, revealing that it was the delivery partner's birthday. Upon noticing this, the customer decided to wish him personally.
The video then shows the customer opening the door to greet the Zomato delivery partner and confirming that it is indeed his birthday. As soon as the agent confirms it, the customer as well as those around him start singing 'Happy Birthday'. While he smiles and hands over the food package, the customer surprises him with a gift.
