Swiggy has joined forces with Simpl to introduce a one-tap checkout experience for users across its food delivery platforms. This collaboration extends to Swiggy Instamart and is poised to soon include Dineout and Swiggy Genie.
The partnership promises to revolutionize the ordering experience for customers nationwide, allowing them to effortlessly place orders from Swiggy's extensive network of over 2.9 lakh restaurant partners. Additionally, customers can seamlessly access a diverse array of products from Swiggy Instamart, all made possible through the user-friendly interface of Simpl's 1-Tap feature.

Nitya Sharma, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Simpl, emphasized the growing consumer demand for convenience in online transactions, especially in the food and hyperlocal delivery sectors. Sharma noted, "An increasing number of customers today are seeking convenience while transacting online with food and hyperlocal delivery sectors among their top choices. As these services are also availed multiple times in a day, it necessitates the need for a quick and convenient checkout to enhance customer experience."
The move comes at a time when digital transactions in the food and hyperlocal categories have witnessed substantial growth. Simpl reported an impressive 75% surge in transactions for food and beverages, along with hyperlocal categories, over the last two years alone. Concurrently, there has been a notable 48% increase in transacting users, underscoring the rising trend of online transactions in these sectors.
Anurag Panganamamula, Vice President of Revenue and Growth at Swiggy, expressed enthusiasm about the integration of Simpl's 1-Tap Checkout into their platform. Panganamamula highlighted the strategic timing of this collaboration, stating, "With Simpl's 1-Tap Checkout integrated into our platform, especially ahead of the holiday season, millions of customers across the country will be able to access their food, and home needs, and dine out seamlessly."
The implementation of Simpl's streamlined checkout process aligns with the broader industry trend of prioritizing user experience and convenience. As the partnership encompasses Swiggy's various services, including food delivery, grocery delivery (Swiggy Instamart), and other offerings like Swiggy Genie, it aims to create a unified and hassle-free experience for customers.
