Tata Steel Share Price In Focus: Tata Group stock opened in green on Monday, days after the Tata Group's subsidiary announced that it received a show-cause notice worth Rs 1007 crore for the alleged irregular availment of Input Tax Credit (ITC).
Tata Steel shares were trading 0.19% higher at Rs 161.70 per share on BSE art 10:14 am on Monday. The stock opened marginally higher at Rs 161 per share.
On Friday, Tata Steel shares closed 0.56% higher at Rs 161.4 per share on BSE with a market capitalisation of Rs 2,01,482.76 crore. The stock had touched an intraday high of Rs 163.35 per share and an intraday low of Rs 160.75 apiece.

Tata Steel Show Cause Notice
Tata Steel received a show cause cum demand notice on June 27 on the account of alleged irregular availment of Input Tax Credit (ITC) in contravention of the provisions of Section 74 (1) of the Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST) Act, 2017.
"Tata Steel Limited received a Show Cause cum demand Notice dated June 27, 2025, issued by the Office of the Commissioner (Audit), Central Tax, Ranchi, proposing to disallow/demand primarily on account of alleged irregular availment of Input Tax Credit in contravention of the provisions of Section 74(1) of the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017/State Goods and Services Act, 2017 read with Section 20 of the Integrated Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, for the period FY2018-19 through FY2022-23," read a BSE filing released on Friday.
This is the second time in one week that Tata Steel Limited has revealed it has received a show-cause cum demand notice. In a filing with the stock exchanges on June 25, Tata Steel revealed it has received a demand-cum-show cause notice from the Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST) department, related to the irregular availing of Rs. 890.52 crore input tax credit.
Tata Steel Share Price Recommendation
Tata Steel shares were trading higher at Rs 161.5 per share on BSE at 9:30 am on Monday. Antique Stock Brokerage has given a 'Buy' rating for the stock with a target price of Rs 165 per share on BSE, indicating an upside of 2% in the stock value.
Tata Steel Share Price Trend
Tata Steel shares were trading in green on Monday. The stock touched its 52-week high mark of Rs 178.15 per share on BSE on 4 July, 2024. The company scrip dipped to its 52-week low mark of Rs 122.60 on 13 January, 2025. Tata Steel stock value has increased 18.24% year to date (YTD). However, the stock value has declined nearly 7.07% in one year.
