Techno Paints is set to broaden its presence across major metropolitan cities in India by opening new experience centres within the next year. These centres aim to showcase the company's Italian finishes and luxury paints under the Richwaves brand. The company recently inaugurated its first experience centre in Hyderabad, marking the beginning of this expansion plan.
Akuri Srinivas Reddy, Chairman and Managing Director of Techno Paints, emphasized the uniqueness of their offerings: "We are the only Indian company manufacturing Italian finishes and luxury paints. We've established an exclusive plant in Kukatpally, Hyderabad, dedicated to producing these high-quality paints at affordable prices. Our strength lies in our robust Research & Development (R&D) team and expert painters."

The Hyderabad Experience Centre, located near the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC) in Hitech City, spans over 2,100 square feet. It was inaugurated in the presence of prominent industry figures, including Alla Ayodhya Rami Reddy, Chairman of Ramky Group; C Shekar Reddy, National Vice Chairman of CII-Indian Green Building Council; G. Ram Reddy, Secretary of CREDAI National; and Ch. Ramachandra Reddy, Past Chairman of Telangana, among others. The centre showcases over 200 varieties of Italian and luxury finishes under the Richwaves brand, offering customers a unique opportunity to experience the quality and variety of Techno Paints' offerings firsthand.
Last year, Techno Paints announced a substantial investment of Rs 46 crore in April last year to set up three new manufacturing units aimed at expanding its production capacity. Two of these units will be located in Andhra Pradesh (Visakhapatnam and Chittoor), while the third will be in Madhya Pradesh (Katni). These units are expected to produce cement putty, textures, primers, and emulsions, each with an annual capacity of 30,000 tonnes in the first phase. This expansion is being funded through debt, and the company currently operates three plants in Telangana and one in Andhra Pradesh, with a combined annual capacity of 2.50 lakh tonnes.
Techno Paints is known for its diverse range of high-quality products and services, catering to various sectors, including residential, commercial, industrial, and hospitality. The company's commitment to customer satisfaction, superior paint quality, and environmental responsibility has positioned it as a trusted name in the Indian paint industry. With an extensive range of over 3,000 paint shades available through its color banks, Techno Paints ensures prompt delivery of any desired color. In addition to paints, the company also produces and supplies wood adhesives, tile primers, wood polishes, and waterproofing compounds.
The demand for Italian and luxury finishes is on the rise in India, with these products currently representing just under 0.5% of the Indian paints industry. However, their market share is steadily increasing, and consumption has doubled despite competition from other varieties. These finishes are becoming popular in high-end villas, bungalows, clubhouses, showrooms, pubs, and hotels. Consumers are willing to pay a premium for unique, high-quality paint products that offer a pleasant and majestic feel to their interior environments.
