Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, currently visiting the US, has finalised a major expansion deal with global IT giant Cognizant. This agreement includes a new 10 lakh sq feet facility in Hyderabad, which will create 15,000 new jobs swiftly, according to an official release on Monday.

Cognizant, a leading player in IT services and consulting, announced its significant expansion plans in Hyderabad after meetings with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and state IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu in the US. The company has selected Hyderabad for a new centre that will accommodate 20,000 employees.
Expansion Plans in Hyderabad
CM Revanth Reddy, accompanied by a high-level delegation, had a productive meeting with Ravi Kumar S, CEO of Cognizant. "We are excited to expand our presence in Hyderabad, a city that continues to demonstrate its strengths as a technology and innovation hub," Ravi Kumar stated in the release.
The new centre will enable Cognizant to better serve its global clients and continue delivering advanced solutions in IT services and consulting. The chief minister praised Cognizant for its expansion plans and highlighted the government's commitment to creating a favourable environment for IT and business services.
Government Support and Economic Impact
The expansion of Cognizant's operations in Hyderabad is seen as a vote of confidence in the city's growing reputation as a global destination for technology companies. "We are happy to support Cognizant in their growth journey and are looking forward to the positive impact this expansion will have on our economy," Revanth Reddy said.
This development underscores Hyderabad's status as a key hub for technology and innovation. The new facility is expected to significantly boost local employment and contribute to the region's economic growth.
