In a significant development, the promoters of Tips Industries, including Ramesh Taurani and Kumar Taurani, have divested a 5% stake in the company through open market transactions. This divestment, valued at approximately Rs 247 crore, marks a strategic move by the Taurani brothers and their wives, Renu Kumar Taurani and Varsha Ramesh Taurani, who were also promoters of Tips Industries.

Bulk Deal Details
According to the bulk deal data available with the BSE, Kumar Sadhuram Taurani, Ramesh Sadhuram Taurani, Renu Kumar Taurani, and Varsha Ramesh Taurani collectively offloaded 65 lakh shares, representing a 5.06% stake in Tips Industries. These shares were sold within a price range of Rs 380-380.26 per share, resulting in a combined transaction value of around Rs 247 crore.
Promoter Shareholding Decline
As a result of this stake dilution, the combined shareholding of the promoter and promoter group in Tips Industries has witnessed a decline. Their stake has reduced from 68.92% to 63.86%, reflecting a significant shift in the company's ownership structure.
SBI Mutual Fund's Acquisition
Concurrently, SBI Mutual Fund emerged as a prominent buyer in this transaction. The mutual fund house acquired more than 64.25 lakh shares, representing a 5% stake in Tips Industries. These shares were purchased at an average price of Rs 380 per share, amounting to a deal size of approximately Rs 244.18 crore.
Stock Market Reaction
The news of this stake divestment and acquisition had a positive impact on the stock market performance of Tips Industries. The company's scrip witnessed a notable surge, jumping by 5.07% to close at Rs 430.80 per share on the BSE.
Previous Stake Sale
It is worth noting that this divestment follows a similar transaction last month, where Tips Industries promoters, including Kumar Taurani and Ramesh Taurani, sold a 6.07% stake in the music record label company.
