Projects Overview
The four projects include two pumped storage hydro projects with a total capacity of 4,150 MW in Sonbhadra district and a solar power plant with a capacity of 150 MW in Lalitpur district, Bundelkhand region of Uttar Pradesh. Additionally, a pilot green hydrogen production facility will be established in Gorakhpur, where green hydrogen will be produced and blended with the gas distribution network being constructed by Torrent Gas.

The Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for over 14,000 projects across various sectors, as per the statement. The event was graced by the presence of Governor of Uttar Pradesh Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
The investment in these projects by Torrent Power is a significant step towards boosting infrastructure development and economic growth in Uttar Pradesh. The projects will not only provide clean and sustainable energy but also create employment opportunities and contribute to the overall development of the state.
