The highly anticipated Vande Bharat Sleeper Train first look has finally been revealed, and it's turning heads everywhere. The one-of-a-kind train is packed with modern & thoughtful features, with its premium overnight service to travel long distances. Vande Bharat Trains are known for their fast daytime journeys, but these sleeper versions offer comfortable berths, high-speed travel, and top-notch amenities for passengers so they can enjoy overnight trips with convenience.

First Look Of The Vande Bharat Sleeper Trains
The first-look model of the Vande Bharat Sleeper Train was unveiled at the International Railway Equipment Exhibition (IREE) 2025 in New Delhi. It features a sleek silver-blue aerodynamic exterior, LED ambient lighting, and beautifully designed interiors. The Vande Bharat sleeper trains were introduced through an Indo-Russian joint venture, Kinet Railway Solutions, offering passengers a premium travel experience akin to business-class airline cabins.
Advanced Features Of the Trains
The Vande Bharat Sleeper Train comes with 16 modern coaches: 11 AC 3-tier, 4 AC 2-tier, and 1 AC First Class, accommodating up to 1,128 passengers, including crew berths. The train is equipped with a top speed of 180 km/h and a service speed of 160 km/h. AC First Class coaches have four private berths, snack tables, and cushioning.

- Touch-free bio-vacuum toilets
- Hot-water showers in First Class coaches
- Onboard Wi-Fi and infotainment system
- Automatic inter-coach doors and ambient sensor lighting

Routes and Launch Plans
The first operational route of the Vande Bharat sleeper trains will connect New Delhi to Patna, reducing travel time to approximately 11 hours. Future sleeper routes will link Delhi-Ahmedabad, Delhi-Bhopal, and Delhi-Howrah. According to reports, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw confirmed the commercial launch in mid-October 2025, with two 16-coach rakes delivered by BEML and ICF, followed by eight additional trains in 2026.
