Next week is very crucial for shareholders of Vedanta Limited as the natural resources company is likely to consider and announce an interim dividend for the Financial Year 2023-24 on December 18.
In an exchange filing on Thursday the company noted, "Pursuant to Regulation 29 of Listing Regulations, Notice is hereby given that the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Company (the "Board") is proposed to be scheduled on Monday, December 18, 2023, to consider and approve the Second Interim Dividend on equity shares, if any, for the Financial Year 2023-24."

Vedanta has fixed December 27 as the record date for the purpose of determining the entitlement of the equity shareholders for the said dividend, if declared.
The Mumbai-headquartered said Thursday, "...the record date for the purpose of determining the entitlement of the equity shareholders for the said dividend, if declared, is being fixed as Wednesday, December 27, 2023."
The metals-to-mining conglomerate said that the trading Window shall continue to remain closed for dealing in securities of the Company for all Designated Persons from Thursday, December 14, 2023, till Wednesday, December 20, 2023 (both days inclusive).

For the second quarter of the financial year, the company's revenue from operations rose 6.37% at Rs 38,546 crore. During this period, the Anil Agarwal company's EBITDA stood at Rs 11,080 crore, up 52.2% compared to Rs 7,282 crore in the year-ago period.
