As the 10th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024 gears up for its grand inauguration on January 10, Wednesday, the Gujarat government is set to offer exclusive golden cardholders with a specially curated 'Vibrant Bharat Thali' priced at Rs 4,000. This cuisine, designed exclusively for delegates, promises a unique blend of flavours, celebrating the rich culinary heritage of India.
The summit, themed 'Gateway to the Future,' marks "20 Years of Vibrant Gujarat as the Summit of Success." Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who arrived in Ahmedabad on Monday for a two-day visit, is set to inaugurate the event at Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar.

The culinary highlight of the summit will be the 'Taste of India' and 'The Taste of Gujarat' thalis, offering a variety of vegetarian dishes. The first meal will be served in the afternoon. The 'khichdi' and 'curry' thali will take centre stage during the dinner, showcasing the diverse flavours of Gujarat.
Vikas Sood, General Manager of Hotel Leela, Gandhinagar, shared insights into the menu with PTI, stating, "We will serve pure vegetarian food, crafted to ensure a low carbon footprint and bring in a carbon-neutral event." This move aligns with the global trend towards sustainable and eco-friendly practices in large-scale events.
The summit, expected to host several world leaders, including UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, will witness the presence of industry giants such as Lakshmi Mittal, Mukesh Ambani, Gautam Adani, Kumar Mangalam Birla, Anil Agarwal, Uday Kotak, and Sameer Nigam.
With a record-breaking 1,00,000 registrations, a significant increase from the 2019 count of 48,000, and 32 partner countries compared to 15 in 2019, the 10th edition is poised to surpass its predecessors. Rahul Gupta, Vice Chairman, and Managing Director of the Gujarat Industries Development Corp, anticipates surpassing the 2019 record of 28,360 Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signings.
The summit is a platform for economic collaborations and an opportunity to strengthen diplomatic ties, particularly following Prime Minister Modi's recent visit to the COP28 summit in Dubai in December. The presence of global leaders and industry titans further emphasizes the significance of this event.
Exploring sectors like semiconductors, green hydrogen, e-mobility, and space manufacturing, the summit reflects India's commitment to technological advancements and sustainable practices. A special networking dinner with cultural programs on the last day will add a touch of entertainment and camaraderie to the business-oriented affair.
Beyond the boardrooms and MoU signings, the 'Vibrant Bharat Thali' serves as a symbolic representation of India's diverse and rich culture, inviting delegates to savour the flavours of success and collaboration.
